Creator's Key Takeaways

if you are on vacation and you're feeling you're not the only one every single crew member that I've spoken to goes through this

Creator's Tips & Advice

Don't see all your friends as soon as you come back; tell people you're returning a week later than you actually are.
Spread meetups with friends and family across the months to avoid loneliness and second-guessing friendships.
Limit social media use to one hour a day in the first few weeks to avoid FOMO.
Set personal goals for your vacation period to feel productive and avoid feeling useless.
Balance rest and activity; too much of either can make you feel rubbish.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Hey Sailors, Here on YouTube there are so many videos advising you ‘what it will be like when you join a cruise ship and how to cope with home sickness’, but there isn’t much out there for those of us that have finished our cruise ship contract and are heading home for our much deserved vacation. There is a huge adjustment that needs to be made because you are going from always being stimulated and being surrounded by people, to having nothing on your ‘to do list’ and having a lot of alone time. This can send us into a spin, and at times leave us feeling very low, so in todays video I am going to share with you how I keep my self busy, relatively motivated and most importantly, happy. If you are on vacation and you are feeling shit, just know you are not the only one. I hope this video helps you to feel better!
