Our first time in South America brought us to the lively coastal town of Manta, Ecuador! 🏖️ Despite safety warnings, we had an amazing two days staying near the port and soaking up the local vibes. We started with a quick mall trip for a mani-pedi for Lanette and snorkel gear for Johan in preparation for the Galapagos. Then, we headed across the street to the bustling beach, lined with huts offering cocktails, tattoo services, and even a barber shop! 🍹 💈 At George’s beach hut, we enjoyed cold beers and watched some incredibly talented locals practicing their moves on a fitness course built right on the beach—a spot that recently hosted a competition. Their routines were awe-inspiring! 🏋️‍♂️ This stop was extra special as it marked both our first time in South America and Ecuador, and we were joined by Krista, our first friends and family visitor, on her inaugural port adventure.
