Creator's Key Takeaways

This has been one of the most memorable cruises I've ever done. Uh, and I've done over 80 now.

I'm absolutely thrilled to be given permission to film here. It's amazing.

I am having an absolute ball on board uh Borealis.

What a beautiful evening. It's actually just a wee bit emotional.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Book the behind-the-scenes tour as soon as you board the ship, as there are only 12 spaces per tour.
If you're sailing on Borealis before the refit, visit Vasco for specialty dining.
Purchase tickets for the wicker basket toboggan ride at the kiosk before joining the line.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

We cruised from Dover, UK, to the Azores, spent 3 amazing days exploring, and now it's time for the continuation of our 13 night voyage on Fred Olsen Borealis. In this episode join me on a very special sea day with lots of activities, but also a private behind the scenes tour of the lower decks, engine control room and the bridge, where I also get the opportunity to interview Captain Mikael - I hope I can behave! As usual, I'll show you more of the entertainment on board and all meals reviewed. Next up, a full day on the gorgeous island of Madeira where we head to the west coast for rum tasting, then south to a vineyard and Madeiran wine tasting, before heading back to Funchal for a cable car ride and independent exploration. Would you brave the baskets back down?! All this and a whole lot more! Please do give a thumbs up, subscribe and share if you can - support always appreciated. Let's do this!
