This completely FREE museum is home to incredible World War I era aircraft — but the history here goes far deeper than we ever expected.The highlight of our visit? Discovering the story of the Chkalov Transpolar Flight — the very first transpolar flight in history! In 1937, three Soviet aviators flew non-stop from Moscow, Russia, all the way over the North Pole, and landed right here at Pearson Field in Vancouver, Washington.
