This video is full of SO MUCH FUN! We got our inner Gatsby into party mode for the Napier Art Deco Festival full of dance clubs, classic cars, an air show and even a dog show where dogs and their owners were dressed for the 1930’s! After an earthquake and fire destroyed much of the town, Napier was rebuilt in the art deco architectural styles of the early 30’s—such a unique and beautiful town! Napier’s old prison also used to be an insane asylum, a reality show set and a backpacker hostel! We’d never want to do the escape rooms they have now—pretty creepy place! Come check it out with us. It’s also easily accessible to cruise passengers independently. We also briefly explored the famous Hawke’s Bay wine region by bike and found some beachfront property for sale for $1.
