Creator's Key Takeaways

The ship is furnished elegantly, but in a comfy fashion, so it'll always be a warm welcome back on board after a busy day of exploring.

Overall, I was really impressed with Greg Mortimer. There's tons of outside deck space, which gives you plenty of chances to spot wildlife or marvel at the beautiful landscapes.

Creator's Tips & Advice

YouTube Video Description

ad • Join me as I show you around the expedition ship Greg Mortimer, which I was lucky enough to visit in Aberdeen during a ship visit in June 2024. As I was invited onboard for the day, you’ll see a ‘paid promotion’ flag on this video, but you’ll still get my usual honest thoughts about the ship. Whilst owned by Aurora Expeditions, Greg Mortimer will be chartered by National Geographic–Lindblad Expeditions to sail around Alaska from 2027, so if you’re lucky enough to be onboard for one of these cruises, this video should give you a general idea as to what this ship is like. I’ve also included some footage from my own Alaska and Greenland Expedition cruises to highlight what types of views you can experience sailing on an expedition cruise. If you have any questions, please do let me know in the comments below and I'll do my best to answer them! Want to know more about Cruising with Matthew?
