In this video I show what it’s like visiting this famous cherry blossom location during a cruise stop and whether it’s easy to reach from the Hakodate cruise port. From the tower you can see the star-shaped fort surrounded by thousands of cherry trees, one of the most iconic sakura views in Japan. I also share what the experience looks like walking through the park during hanami season and whether this destination can be explored independently or is easier with a shore excursion. You’ll also see parts of Hakodate’s waterfront, the historic red brick warehouses, and the lively Hakodate Morning Market known for its local seafood and unique food culture.
