http://cruisefever.net Half Moon Cay (also known as "Little San Salvador") is one of the most beautiful pieces of paradise on planet earth. The water is crystal clear blue and it's the perfect place to just relax or enjoy some recreation. This is one of our all-time favorite private islands. Half Moon Cay is owned by Holland America but is often used by Carnival and MSC. The islands was previously owned by Norwegian Cruise Line. There is plenty of beach space to soak in some rays and plenty of hammocks to enjoy the gentle breezes of the island. There are also some excellent excursion opportunities like snorkeling, swimming with sting rays, horseback riding, kayaking and more. There is a volleyball court and basketball court on the island as well. The pirate ship is one of the focal points of Half Moon Cay and offers a bar on the bottom floor and an excellent observation deck above. There is a large open air building for grabbing some lunch and there are clean and spacious restrooms all across the island. We always look forward to visits to Little San Salvador and know you will too.
