About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
On this adventure we go to Loch Ness and search for the monster known as Nessie! This Scotland Adventure begins at Culloden House and takes us first to the Caledonian Canal where we think our cruise begins. We were at the wrong spot but do get to see some very cute Highland Cows. Jacobite Lochness Cruises depart from many different places so be sure to follow the link provided in the ticket e-mail. We finally arrive at the Clansman Hotel just in time to see our cruise sail away. The folks at Lochness by Jacobite were very kind and re-ticketed us for the next cruise. Loch Ness is a beautiful freshwater lake. The views we got to enjoy while waiting were breathtaking! This video does contain drone shots we took while waiting and they truly show the beauty of the area. While on our cruise we got to visit Urquhart Castle. This ruined castle is one of the most visited in Scotland and worth a visit. After visiting the gift shop and getting some gelato from Miele's Gelateria we ventured on to Culloden Battlefield. Along the way we did stop and took some footage of the only island in Loch Ness, Cherry Island. Culloden Battlefield is a memorial to the brave men who fought on April 16, 1746. The Jacobite army who fought for Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated this day. Over 1500 Scottish Highlanders lost their lives in less than hour. 365 of these belonged to the Clan Cameron. This was an emotional and once in a lifetime experience. The vast battlefield is filled with monuments to the clans who fought. I did find the Clan Cameron marker! This was a great experience and I would highly recommend a visit! Thank you for watching our adventures and subscribing to our channel! We are, "Living the GOOD Life!" Cheers and Slainte!
