About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
Hideaway Island is a small resort island just off the coast from Port Vila Vanuatu. It has its own ferry service that runs from the island to Mele, just north of Port Vila. If you are visiting on a cruise ship you can get a water taxi to the island or a taxi/bus to Mele and get the Island ferry across. A day pass will not give you access to the Hideaway Island Resort pool and but you will be able to use the beach facilities such as loungers, shades/umbrellas, tables, beach bar and cafe and the famous underwater post box where you can actually post a card (purchased from the gift shop) and it will be collected by Vanuatu Post and delivered to whoever you address it to (within reason). When we went a day pass was AU$25 and water taxi from the cruise ship AU$50 per person return. You can negotiate a single price if there are a few of you.
