Hi Cruisers, We often cruise out of the port of Long Beach, and as you may know we typically prefer to do a pre-cruise stay in a hotel the night before our cruise. This just makes things easier for us on embarkation day. Finding a good hotel for us is more than just finding the cheapest option. As this is essentially the first day of our cruise vacation, we really want to make the most of it. We've stayed in the the Hotel Maya Long Beach many times, and thought it was about time we mentioned how much we like it. The Hotel Maya Long Beach is super close to the port. In fact, we can usually see the port and the historic Queen Mary from our balcony. We'll give you a good look at our last balcony view in this video. Besides the convenient proximity, the Hotel Maya also offers a lot of features we really enjoy. There are many fire pits, and cool places to sit and enjoy the scenery. The rooms are modern, and the beds are comfy. There's an on-site restaurant called Fuego that is really convenient, and there's even a little market in the lobby for small last minute type things. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. We love staying at the Hotel Maya Long Beach.
