About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

This video is about the insane prices that Royal Caribbean is charging for Icon Of The Seas this summer. Rather than pay the big bucks for a cruise on Icon of the Seas, I offer several good alternatives at a far lower cost. For families travelling with children, I recommend Carnival Celebration or her sister ships, Carnival Jubilee and Mardi Gras. These ships have just as many fun features for the family as Icon Of The Seas does, but at a hugely lower cost. For far less than the cost of just mom and dad going on a cruise by themselves on Icon Of The Seas, you could afford two cabins side by side on Carnival Celebration... one cabin for mom and dad, and another cabin next door for the kids. For baby boomers travelling without kids, I recommend cruising on Carnival Vista, or her sister ships Carnival Horizon and Carnival Panorama... with a strong recommendation that you book a cabin in the Havana area of the ship. Guest staying in Havana cabins have access to an exclusive area of the ship which has a private pool, two hot tubs, a sun deck, and a bar... all of which can not be accessed by guests who are not staying in Havana cabins. This means that the Havana pool, sun deck, and outdoor bar area are un-crowded and quiet... a great place for boomers to spend sea days relaxing. If you're interested in booking a cruise on one of these ships, feel free to use the same travel agency that I use. It will truly simplify the planning process, and help to ensure that you do not make any rookie mistakes in creating the booking. Visit www.AmbrenTravel.com to book a cruise on any of these ships.
