YouTube Video Description

Hey Sailors, Today we are discussing a very important subject which is “how to separate work life and personal life when working on a cruise ship.” This is harder to do on a cruise ship because you don’t have the physical boundaries that you would have living on land. With a normal job you have the people you see at the office and then you have the people you see when you go out on a weekend who have nothing to do with work, so it’s very easy to distinguish the two. However on a cruise ship, everything happens. You work with all the people you live with and go out with, so it is harder to know where the line is. I’m going to tell you how to draw your own line in order to protect your emotional well being. This is something I have only leant to do in the last few months, and I wish I had done it sooner because it would have helped me to better maintain a lot of my friendships that I made onboard. I hope this helps you to understand why it is so important to separate the two, which will help you stay sane when working on a cruise ship.
