Icon of the Seas: CocoCay Bahamas Arrival & Departure on May 17th, 2024

On May 11th the Icon of the Seas set sail on a 7 night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day in CocoCay sailing. Sailing round trip from Miami she made stops in Roatán Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico as well as the addition of CocoCay in the Bahamas. On May 17th the Icon of the Seas made her way to Royal Caribbean's private island of CocoCay in the Bahamas. Arriving early in the morning she was the first to reach the island making her arrival as the sun rose over the empty pier. As she was finishing docking the Adventure of the Seas made her own arrival spinning around and docking across the pier from Icon. While in CocoCay the news that Captain James MacDonald from the Harmony of the Seas had passed away came out. As a tribute all ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet were directed to fly the Royal Caribbean flag at half mast. After spending a sunny Perfect Day in CocoCay, the ships were both scheduled to depart at 5pm. The Adventure of the Seas left first following a horn battle between the two ships with the Icon following after.
