Icon of the Seas: Costa Maya Mexico Skipped Visit on May 14th, 2024
YouTube Video Description↓
On May 11th the Icon of the Seas set sail on a 7 night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day in CocoCay sailing. Sailing round trip from Miami she made stops in Roatán Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico as well as the addition of CocoCay in the Bahamas. On May 14th the Icon of the Seas was scheduled to make her second port of call on a three day stretch of port visits with a stop to Costa May Mexico. As the Icon neared the port it was clear the conditions were not going to support making a visit. Regardless of if the ship could have docked, the seas were washing over the pier making it unsafe for passengers to even make it ashore. After sailing up to the piers as expected the Icon of the Seas made a turn a set sail for her next destination. This video was filmed on 5/14/2024 while Icon of the Seas was trying to visit Costa Maya Mexico. 7 Night May 11th, 2024 Western Caribbean and Perfect Day Sailing Itinerary: Day 1: Miami, FL (5/11/24 Departing 5:00 PM) Day 2: Day at Sea (5/12/24) Day 3: Roatán, Honduras (5/13/24 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Day 4: Costa Maya, Mexico (5/14/24 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Day 5: Cozumel, Mexico (5/15/24 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) Day 6: Day at Sea (5/16/24) Day 7: Perfect Day CocoCay, Bahamas (5/17/24 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Day 8: Miami, FL (5/18/24 Arriving 2:30 AM) Content: 0:00:00 Intro 0:00:16 Approaching Costa Maya 0:03:25 Nearing the Costa Maya Cruise Port 0:07:17 Turning Away from Costa Maya 0:07:41 Waves Crashing Over the Pier 0:09:55 Sailing Away 0:18:51 Captain Teo Strazicic's Announcement 0:20:41 Cruise Director Gemma's Announcement 0:21:50 Evening Sunset 0:22:53 Next Videos
