The Icon of the Seas' lacks a traditional Adult Solarium. Instead of a dedicated area at the front of the ship like on the Oasis and Quantum classes, they've moved it to the very back. Originally designed to occupy Cloud 17, by the time the Icon of the Seas reached Miami it was changed to The Hideaway instead. This area at the very back of the ship is located on deck 15, but accessible from deck 16 through Thrill Island. This adult only section of the ships features two hot tubs along with ample tiered seating with views out over the wake on the port side of the ship. The starboard side features a variety of tables and chairs in a mix of shade and sun at the Hideaway Bar. Connecting the two sides is the Hideaway Pool with an infinity pool and day beds that are floating over the Surfside neighborhood below. While the new version of the solarium does feature a larger pool than recent ones, its location does leave it fairly visible to individuals of all ages from the Thrill Island area. This includes the water slides and FlowRider which overlook it. The Hideaway exists on all of the Icon class ships including Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, & Legend of the Seas. This tour was filmed during the 5/4/2024 while on a pair of 7 night Caribbean sailings from Miami.
