We visit the brand-new In-N-Out Burger in Ridgefield, Washington just one week after its grand opening! We have some fun facts and some interesting items on the secret menu that we show off. As the very first In-N-Out location in Washington State, this spot has been drawing huge crowds, but we stopped by during lunchtime on a weekday see what all the excitement was about. On this visit, we went big, ordering the legendary 4x4 burger and the unique Flying Dutchman Whole Grilled Onion Style burger straight from the secret menu. We also checked out the newly released Washington State In-N-Out T-shirt, a special design celebrating this historic location. In-N-Out Burger began in 1948 when Harry and Esther Snyder opened a small drive-thru hamburger stand in Baldwin Park, California. At the time, it was the first drive-thru of its kind in the state, designed with a two-way speaker system that allowed customers to order without leaving their cars. From those humble beginnings, the chain grew steadily, guided by the Snyder family’s commitment to quality, simplicity, and consistency. Unlike many fast-food competitors that franchised quickly, In-N-Out chose to remain family-owned, prioritizing control over ingredients, service, and values. This careful approach helped cultivate a loyal following and an almost cult-like fan base as the brand expanded throughout California and into neighboring states, finally reaching Washington in 2024.
