This video is about our first impressions of India. We have visited 114 countries, but nothing quite compares to travel in India, which is a large, beautiful and diverse place, along with being the most populous country in the world. We found it is a country with some of the most friendly and kind people we have met during our world travels. We will discuss the cities we visited in our first time in India vlog. We will also discuss some of our lodging, Indian cuisine, transportation, culture, language and much more. We started our adventure in Delhi, where we explored Old Delhi, visited India Gate, walked through parks and rode tuk-tuks to see the sights. Next we traveled to Agra to see the one and only Taj Mahal. This is a magical place that should make everyone's bucket list of destinations. We completed the Golden Triangle by visiting the forts and palaces of Jaipur, while joining some expats for a traditional thali meal. The Golden triangle did not disappoint. We then flew to Udaipur and witnessed a Hindi celebration and visited the beautiful City Palace. Udaipur is a beautiful city with many lakes and palaces. We sat on the roof of our hotel and watched fireworks, kite flying, monkeys and more. Next up was the city of Mumbai. We had a great guide for a tour of the city which included the Leopold Cafe, Dhobi Ghat, the Gateway of India, the Hanging Gardens, and much more. John even joined the locals for some cricket on the beach at sunset. PS. John needs lots of practice before becoming a professional on the cricket tour. π€£ The last stop in India was probably our favorite. Kochi, located in the state of Kerala, which is in the far southwestern part of India. It is a tropical setting, filled with palm trees and much warmer weather. We enjoyed a backwaters boat tour at sunrise one morning and saw so many different birds and Chinese fishing nets. It was such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the big cities of Delhi and Mumbai. We also explored the Fort Kochi area by foot and by tuk-tuk, saw a traditional Kathakali performance and ate more wonderful Indian food.
