Jewel of the Seas: San Francisco, CA Arrival & Departure

On September 22nd the Jewel of the Seas arrived in San Francisco to spend and overnight stay. Arriving in the early hours of the morning the Jewel sailed towards the Golden Gate Bridge at 5:46am before the sun even rose. At 6:15am she reached the bridge sailing underneath in the darkness reaching the other side and revealing the San Francisco Bay just as the first gleams of light began to show on the horizon. She made her way around the city past Alcatraz Island and towards the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge eventually reaching her berth. She docked at the brand new cruise terminal at Pier 27 with a perfect view of the sunrise over the bay bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island visible from the other side of the ship. She remained there all day and through the night leaving the following afternoon at just after 5pm on the 23rd. Once again she pulled out of her pier and made her way around the city of San Francisco and past Alcatraz Island lining up to pass under the Golden Gate Bridge.
