About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

In today's video in beautiful Laos, we take a two-day river cruise down the Mekong River and arrive in one of our favorite towns, Luang Prabang. Laos is a beautiful country located in Southeast Asia, known for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality. Here are some reasons why we love Laos: Natural beauty: Laos is home to breathtaking natural landscapes, including lush mountains, cascading waterfalls, serene rivers, and scenic rice fields. Places like Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and the Bolaven Plateau offer stunning views and opportunities for outdoor activities. Cultural heritage: Laos has a unique and vibrant culture deeply influenced by Buddhism. The country is dotted with ornate Buddhist temples, and the daily ritual of giving alms to monks is a sight to behold. Traditional festivals, such as Boun Pi Mai (Lao New Year) and Boun Ok Phansa (end of Buddhist Lent), showcase the country's rich traditions. Slow-paced lifestyle: Laos is often described as a laid-back and relaxed destination. The slow-paced lifestyle allows visitors to unwind and immerse themselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. The locals are known for their friendliness and welcoming nature, adding to the overall charm of the country. Adventure and outdoor activities: Laos offers a range of adventurous activities for those seeking excitement. Trekking through remote villages, kayaking along the Mekong River, exploring limestone caves, and zip-lining through dense forests are just a few examples of the thrilling experiences available. Culinary delights: Lao cuisine is diverse and flavorful, with influences from neighboring countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and China. From delicious noodle soups like khao soi to spicy papaya salads (tam mak hoong) and sticky rice (khao niao), Lao food offers a unique culinary experience. Video # 115 ▢️ We started our channel to inspire and share our world travel lifestyle, adventures, and optimistic outlook on life with others. After completing a two-year journey in our Airstream to see all 50 states and 51 National Parks, we left to travel abroad. We have downsized our possessions and sold our home so that we can wander about with only the things in our backpacks. We love living on the road, traveling each week to a new location. We plan to travel extensively to every part of the world. Ours is not a slow travel lifestyle but rather a vagabondish one. The goal is not to check a country off a list, but to experience it by meeting new people, seeing how others live, and making new friends. We believe in laughing, loving, and living our lives to the fullest. We are working hard to build a beautiful website where you can get travel information about the places we have been. In addition, we post blog articles to help you travel better. Our channel is a way of augmenting that effort, so sometimes we post videos about how to travel or a vlog showing our lives on the road as we do an activity or an adventure. We also post Shorts, so check those out, too. We hope to entertain you, but most importantly, we want to inspire you and give you the confidence to plan your own adventure around the world. We invite you to subscribe and comment. We also hope you follow the link to our website and sign up for our newsletter. It's a great way to keep up-to-date with our travels. ◀️ @RetirementTravelers ⭐️OUR WEBSITE: https://www.retirementtravelers.com ⭐️OUR NEWSLETTER: http://eepurl.com/h_P0RD ⭐️OUR TRAVEL STORE: https://retirementtravelers.com/retirement-travelers-store-best-travel-products 😎 Send us a note or comment on our other channels, too!
