I was at the tail end of a cold when I recorded the narration so it may sound a little strange at different points in the video. Anyways, I am excited to debut another cruise line on The Brick Executive Channel: Celebrity Cruises! In my mind, there in no better ship to kick it off than Celebrity Galaxy. She was not, by all means, a record breaking or remarkably influential ship in the industry but, together with her sisters Century and Mercury, they were able to really put Celebrity on the map as a viable candidate as a mainstream cruise line. In this video you will both learn about Galaxy as well as the beginnings of Celebrity Cruises, which had gone from a simple branch off of the famous Chandris Line and had grown into a premier cruise line that was being fought over by two of the biggest names in the industry at that time. And all of that happened within a decade! You will notice that more is focused in this video on the cruise line itself rather than Galaxy and that is due to what she and her sisters represented as a whole in the trajectory of Celebrity becoming what it is today.
