Creator's Key Takeaways

Norwegian Epic is simply the awkward ugly duckling of the modern cruise ship industry.

She is a fine example of what can happen when something comes out that tries to change or revolutionize the way something is suppose to function.

The story of her birth is one filled with uncertainty disappointment an arguments that is almost unequaled in modern ship building.

Epic has had time to develop a good reputation especially in Europe.

Creator's Tips & Advice

โœ“Consider the cabin bathroom layout before booking, as it may not suit all preferences.
โœ“Be prepared for potential bottlenecks on public decks, especially during peak times.
โœ“Enjoy the unique entertainment and dining options, which offer more variety than previous NCL ships.

YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

For many, Norwegian Epic is simply the awkward ugly duckling of the modern cruise ship industry. But there is so much more to her story than just the outward appearance. In this video, you will learn about why she came into existence and what NCL had in mind when designing her. She is a fine example of what can happen when something comes out that tries to change or revolutionize the way something is suppose to function. Sometimes there are great things, but other times there are things that will never be replicated again. Combined with her interesting service history and turbulent construction, she is, in my opinion, a very unique, peculiar, but special member of the early mega cruise ship generation. The build, of course, was a fun one, and actually very different compared to some of the others I build, especially the transition between the hull and balcony room levels. It allowed for some interesting new techniques to be tested. I hope this video will help broaden your thoughts about this vessel.
