Luzern is very beautiful, in the city center near the river Reuss is exceptional. We opted out of Mt Pilatus this trip as we had a full day to Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen from Interlaken. you can watch this in our next Vlogg @Aussies_on_dream_travel-vlog If you were to do Mt Pilatus, take the Public train to Kriens, (my recommendation) it is better to do anti clockwise in summer, you can do what is called the Golden Round Trip. You can't do this in winter season as lake ferry and Cogwheel train are closed at certain times. Winter you can only do the cable not cogwheel and ferry back to Luzern. Weather can change quickly, there was a couple on our train to Interlaken went up the day before and they could see nothing except cloud with their prebooked ticket. We had a perfect day the following day, would have been great for Mt Pilatus. If you book online in the early morning or night before the perfect days weather if you have time in Switzerland would be more guarantee of great weather. We hope you enjoy our trip to Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen as we are headed out by train to Lake Como in 2 days.
