This is a basic cabin onboard Explora Journeys I. We are actually in an OT3 (Ocean Terrace 3) suite, where OT1 would be closer to the front or back of the ship and 3 is closer to the middle. The suite is as spacious as a basic cruise cabin gets but there are a surprising number of cubby holes and other areas to store things. We even have drawers that we havenβt used and Iβm packed for 3 weeks away! The rooms have excellent sound dampening - if youβre laying on your bed and the other person has a shower, you can NOT hear if the water is running or not! Beside the beds are motion sensor lights, which you could probably block with a pillow if you donβt like them. I donβt find them terribly bright. Thereβs also a wee night light in the bathroom, so you conβt have to turn the lights full on to see at night. Itβs a USB plug - Iβm presuming this is something in each room and not something left behind by the previous guest. In room binoculars are provided and are excellent quality. Room service has also been great, with food delivered hot and the server sets up the table perfectly for you - on your balcony or in your suite. * * * * Explora Journeys I has 4 pools, 5 jacuzzi tubs, 9 dining options and countless bars. Pretty much everything is included except some chefβs table dining options. The ship is small, with a 461 cabins and the vast majority will be double occupancy, with some singles and some triples or even quadruple occupancy. They are purposely trying to keep the guest count low, so, for example, this sailing has about 800 guests. This week, weβll be sailing from Miami to St Thomas, St Barts, Guadaloupe, and St Martin, then ending in Puerto Rico.
