Machu Picchu, Peru: What to Expect when Visiting

Machu Picchu is often listed as one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring places on the planet. That is why it was on my bucket list for many years. I finally was able to visit and it did not disappoint. It was a glorious trip, but also somewhat exhausting. I signed u[ for a National Geographic/Lindblad expedition to both Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. The Machu Picchu portion of the trip required extensive traveling, including to the villages of Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollytaytambo. All these places are at high elevation, so it slowed down the pace of our traveling. This video will share my journey and also give some tips on what to expect when traveling to Machu Picchu.
