It’s Day Four aboard the Sky Princess, and today we’re heading to one of the most iconic cruise destinations in the Caribbean — St. Maarten. After docking at the port, we make our way through the crowds, grab a round‑trip ride, and head straight to the world‑famous Maho Beach, home of low‑flying planes, turquoise water, and the always‑lively Sunset Bar. We spend the day watching aircraft roar overhead as they land at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), explore the beach, grab chairs and an umbrella, and enjoy some great food — mozzarella sticks, creole rice, and a surprisingly good cheeseburger with hot sauce that definitely delivered. The waves are rough but beautiful, the snorkeling is decent, and the energy on the beach is nonstop. After a full day at Maho, we head back to the ship for French Night in the buffet, a Key Lime Martini, and the Ultimate 80s Music Challenge in the Piazza. We wrap up the night with thoughts on whether Maho Beach is worth doing again and what makes St. Maarten such a unique port day.
