Creator's Key Takeaways

It was everything and more than I could certainly hope for.

For the money we were paying for the entire trip, paying a little bit more for convenience was certainly well worth it.

I'm proud of our decision-making. So, wish we would have done some things differently, but I'm proud of our decision-making.

I'd say we saved 845 minutes with our Lightning Lanes. That's 14 hours. That's a full park day or more for some.

Creator's Tips & Advice

βœ“Lightning Lanes are worth the cost to save significant time and mental strain in the heat.
βœ“Consider using Weight Magic to modify Lightning Lane windows to better fit your schedule.
βœ“If staying at Beach Club, take advantage of the proximity to walk to parks.
βœ“For character breakfasts, check if the dining plan math works for your specific family size.

YouTube Video Description↓

(The video file was too big for upload in 1 part, so this episode is in 2 parts on YouTube.) I interviewed Matt about planning and taking his family of six on their first Walt Disney World trip (June 13–21), staying one night at SpringHill Suites then Disney’s Beach Club, using Away We Go car service with stroller delivery, and relying heavily on Lightning Lanes (about $1,700). We reviewed each day’s plans which included: 1900 Park Fare, Blizzard Beach, Beaches & Cream, a long EPCOT day with Guardians and extensive character time, a packed Hollywood Studios day featuring Star Wars characters, Oga’s, Rise, and Fantasmic, two Magic Kingdom days with character meals, Tron, Tiana’s, extended evening hours, and a Beach Club cabana day that became a fave. Animal Kingdom included Bluey, Flight of Passage, Tusker House, characters, and multiple Everest rides. Matt shares lessons learned, favorites (Hollywood Studios; 1900 Park Fare), and a total trip cost over $21,000.
