Miami World America, y'All! First night aboard America's newest Cruise Ship! I head out for the evening on MSC World America, aiming for the Miami party and hoping to snap photos in my costume, which gets lots of compliments. I check out the Palm Tree Show on the World Promenade, but the cruise director’s announcement drowns it out, so I plan to try again tomorrow. Searching for late-night snacks, I find Luna Park’s pizza and burger spot open until 2 a.m., enjoying a tasty pepperoni pizza. I catch part of the Queen production show in the Panorama Lounge, finding it decent but not my favorite, and grab a strawberry-Nutella gelato afterward. The Miami party at Luna Park Arena is just a DJ set, and I arrive a bit late, noting the chill vibe. I visit the piano bar, enjoy some Johnny Cash tunes, and check out the whiskey selection at Elixir’s private room. The Panorama Lounge feels too big and quiet for a late-night venue, reminding me of Explorer 1’s low energy. Running into cruise friends keeps me out late, but I miss late-night food as Luna Park closes and room service doesn’t answer. Reflecting on the day, I love the new ship despite minor issues like missing ginger beer at the Zen Bar and MSC’s app lacking dining hours.
