A group of students received the ultimate behind-the-scenes tour at SeaWorld San Diego. They met jellyfish, shrimp, sharks, turtles, dolphins and killer whales during their visit. Each of the kids comes from families with parents who are active-duty service members. This trip hits home especially for the student founder, Connor whose father not only works at SeaWorld, but is an Army veteran who has deployed to Iraq. When Connor found out his dad, Kevin, was going on deployment, he knew it would be a hard road ahead. It was then he had the idea to create a military club for kids just like him. Thus, Military Kids Unite was formed at Dana Middle School. Four years later, the club is still going strong and expanding to other schools.
