Join us on the northernmost naming ceremony ever for a passenger ship 🚢 Our battery hybrid powered expedition ship, MS Fridtjof Nansen, will be named by crushing a lump of ice in the ship's side – by her two modern explorer-godmothers, marking the 125 years anniversary of Hurtigruten Expeditions founding expedition cruising on Svalbard in 1896. On 14th September 2021, you can spend this special day with us by following the live-streamed ceremony set to take place in Longyearbyen, Svalbard! We warmly welcome you to the Arctic for this unique celebration of exploration! (Parts of the ceremony will be in Norwegian.)
