MSC Cruise Ship 'MSC Meraviglia' Maiden Call Southampton Docks 26/04/18

I was up early again on the morning of 26th April 2018 to see the maiden arrival of the 2017 latest build MSC Cruise Ship the 'MSC Meraviglia' which is en route from Genoa in Italy to Hamburg in Germany calling in various ports along the way and Southampton was the next port call on the itinerary, her last port call was Vigo in Spain. She arrived practically on time for a scheduled time of 06:00am at the City Cruise Terminal & is due to depart later this evening at 20:00pm for Le Havre before her final destination of Hamburg in Germany. On the 31st May 2017 she was officially handed over to MSC from the shipyard who built her at Saint Nazaire in France & weighs in at a whopping 171,598 GRT with a passenger capacity of up to 5,714 which is very impressive. Her christening ceremony took place in Le Havre on the 3rd June 2017, the actress Sophia Loren is served as Godmother to 'MSC Meraviglia'.
