Hard to even find the words but if you get to Las Vegas, a visit out to Interstellar Arc at AREA15 Zone 2: The Terminals is a MUST DO!! As part of a media event, we had the opportunity to check it all out and let me tell you, we were blown away! What is Interstellar Arc? It's an insane 60-minute, large-scale immersive Virtual Reality Space Journey in which you embark on an out of this world experience (literally!) The best part: great for pretty much the entire family ... you will LOVE this experience! Added bonus: each person gets 30 photos / snapshots included with their experience. It is important to know that this is NOT a ride: you are walking for pretty much the entire 60 minutes as you explore and experience the virtual reality that you are in. Your space uniform includes a camera in which you can take photos which are then saved to your account and emailed to you afterwards. My favorite part? The fox that served as our guide through the virtual landscape, he was so cute! There are also real human guides near by in case you need something, and a handrail for when you need support or just a little guidance on the trail (it helps, trust me) It all feels very, very real and is such a cool virtual reality experience. Interstellar Arc Experience Details This futuristic cinematic storytelling experience combines cutting-edge vitual reality technology with space exploration. Guests board the Interstellar Arc to experience the reality of space travel and guest experience what it would be like to depart a 25th-century lunar spaceport, enter cryogenic sleep, and awaken 262 years later. Sounds so crazy, right? Created by Felix & Paul Studios, the walkthrough adventure lets groups explore a shared virtual world together rather than in separate pods. Interstellar Arc is a large-scale, fully interactive immersive experience that uses virtual reality to transport audiences to the far future, 11 lightyears away from Earth, on an awe-inspiring voyage to exoplanet Arcadia. Interstellar Arc Logistics and Visiting Hours: Daily departures run every 15 minutes from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Age Limit: Guests must be 8 years or older, and anyone under 18 needs an adult guardian. Tickets: Youth tickets start at roughly $30, and are available to book directly through the Interstellar Arc Official Site. This can all be experienced as part of your visit out to @AREA15 in Las Vegas. Interstellar Arc is part of the new Zone 2: The Terminals section of Area 15 which also includes several other installations like carnival games, The Eye Dropper Thrill Drop Ride, The Museum of Ice Cream, and so much more. The main area at Area 15 includes so many other fun installations and interactive art displays like Meow Wolf's Omega Mart, Haley's Comet, Universal Horror Unleashed, Wink World, Oddwood, The 747 Jetliner, Robot Chicken and so much more. Basically: it's a MUST-DO if you find yourself in Las Vegas! This is a great activity to do with kids in Las Vegas, awesome family activty as well! Is this social gaming? Kind of but not really, but kind of. There are elements of the adventure that allow you to grab bonuses and reach new achievements, but we were too busy being amazing to really partake in that.
