New Years Eve

Last year, at this time, we were homeless. having sold the house that I'd lived in for 30 years in Florida on the 28th of December, sold our car, got rid of all of our possessions, other what fit in 30 boxes that we shipped to Australia and a number of suitcases.

We were living at my cousin Matt and his wife Tammy's house for a few days before we picked up Holland America's cruise from Fort Lauderdale, allowing us to escape the United States and wind up in Sydney.

I'm still waiting for my permanent residence. I'm on a bridging visa. I hope to get permanent residence soon as a spousal visa.

And, uh, yeah, we're enjoying our life in Australia. Happy New Year.
