NEW YORK winter 2024: Brooklyn Bridge, Staten Island Ferry, Central Park, 5th Avenue & much More 🇺🇸

Join me and Laura as we enjoy an EPIC Day exploring New York City, USA! We start our day early at the Brooklyn Bridge for sunrise, walking across the bridge without the large crowds and enjoying views across New York and Brooklyn. We stop in Dumbo for a nice Starbucks Coffee and to explore the area before going across to the Whitehall Ferry Terminal to catch the Free Staten Island Ferry. This free to catch ferry gives great views of the Statue of Liberty and is a 1 hour round trip which saves you plenty of dollars instead of getting a tour. After some wonderful views of the statue and New York skyline in the sunshine, we head to the 9/11 Memorial and ground zero to pay our respects and reflect on a day that changed the World forever. Across the street from the memorial is the Oculus, a wonderful piece of architecture that has lots of shops inside which we had a look around in. Laura found some fantastic buys inside Pandora and also Kate Spade and got some Holiday treats. After a break in the Oculus we jump in a taxi across to the Friends apartment building which is featured in the TV show and is located on Bedford Street. This is also near Greenwich Street New York which is a borough of Manhattan that is full of wonderful shops, cafes, bakery's and restaurants! We tried cookies from Crumbl and also a Gluten Free bakery which blew Lauras mind! We then head to a wonderful Gluten Free Italian restaurant so Laura could enjoy a full meal. Senza Gluten Restaurant is perfect for anyone with allergies and their whole menu is Gluten Free. After some delicous food it was time to ride the famous New York Subway/Metro, I show you exactly how it works and how much it is to ride and navigate the trains. We head back uptown to Central Park, exploring some of the park and some of the famous sights and scenes from movies such as Home Alone 2 lost in New York and also the famous Ice Skating rink at Wollman Park. From Central Park it was an easy walk across to 5th Avenue and some of the famous stores and shops that have Christmas decor all over them. We take a look at the Lois Vuitton building and also Trump Tower which was stunning. On the way back towards our Hotel we stop by Rockefeller Centre to see the Christmas Tree lit up and the Christmas lights atmosphere. I then grab myself a delicious American Burger from Five Guys before we go back to the Virgin Hotel. After a short break and a nap, we take the lift up to the Sky Lounge in the Virgin Hotel to sit in the Green Room with a cocktail looking out at the magnificent Manhatten night time views!
