On a Star Princess sea day in Alaska, heading towards Victoria, Canada, we expected to sleep in, slow down, and enjoy the ship. But Day 6 on Star Princess did not go as planned. Instead, our inside cabin turned into a breaking-news newsroom after Caribbean Princess lost power and propulsion at sea. We spent much of the day researching, writing, editing, and getting information out for our viewers before finally stepping away from the laptops for lunch, sunshine under The Dome, the Captain’s Circle Party, and an evening show onboard Star Princess. Once we finally closed the laptops, we headed to the Lido for lunch and found a sunny spot under The Dome to relax and watch the ocean go by. Later that evening, we joined fellow loyal Princess cruisers for the Captain’s Circle Party before heading to the show.
