Creator's Key Takeaways
this was our seventh cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line so we're accustomed to the lines cabin design and layout
the bed was on the firm side but had plenty of pillows and blankets to make sure both of us were comfortable
the balcony was located just beyond the bed and it felt to be about the same size as a similar balcony we had on Norwegian bliss
a nice perk is having USB outlets located on each side of the bed

One of the most popular categories is a balcony stateroom. We have just returned from a three-day inaugural cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lineβs newest ship, and have all the details of this type of cabin to share with you. Here is our complete Norwegian Encore Balcony Stateroom Tour and Review. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! While balcony staterooms are located on most decks of Norwegian Encore, we stayed on Deck 9, room 9134. This is considered a standard balcony room. It was a bit more forward than our preferred location, but we never had an issue getting to the room at night or walking to the nearest elevator. According to NCL's website, the Norwegian Encore balcony cabin rooms start at 213 square feet. This room felt to be on par with these dimensions and other balcony rooms that we have stayed in on other Norwegian Cruise Line ships. This was our seventh sailing with Norwegian Cruise Line, and the layout and orientation of this balcony stateroom was exactly what we expected. Overall, there was adequate room in the typical cruise ship bathroom. In fact, we felt the shower design enabled some extra elbow room. Inside the balcony stateroom, there was the typical large desk area with shelves and some storage areas. A sofa was positioned behind the desk with a standard closet adjacent. Our room had the bed located near the balcony. This is actually a better setup as it allows a bit more room at the sitting area. For a three day cruise, this stateroom was the perfect fit providing plenty of comfort and amenities. While there were two USB outlets near the bed and two on the desk, we thought the room could have used some additional outlets. Also, when compared to some competitor cruise ships, we felt Norwegian Encore could have more enhanced controls and technology features in its staterooms.
