If you grew up in Wales, chances are you went to Oakwood Theme Park on a school trip. Opened in 1987, Oakwood was the school trip destination in the '90s, and so many of us have memories of running through the park with friends, riding Megafobia, and spending our pocket money in the gift shop. But now, after decades of thrills, Oakwood has officially closed forever. What we didn’t realise at the time was that this visit would be on the very last weekend the park would ever open.
