About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas was the first cruise ship to have a retractable funnel to allow it to go under bridges, and specifically Denmark's Storebaelt Bridge when the ship sailed from the yard where it was built in Turku, Finland, to Florida. Oasis will use that capability when it sails in the New York market (from Cape Liberty in Bayonne) during the summer of 2020 and needs to go under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. This video was produced in 2009 at the time the ship was delivered and demonstrates the capability.
