Offering 360º views out over the harbor and port of Willemstad Curaçao, the North Star is a one of a kind new feature onboard the Odyssey of the Seas. Built as a glass gondola on the end of a 135 foot long crane it is capable of lifting 14 passengers vertically to a height of over 300 feet. Raising guests high above the ship the gondola rises to it's maximum height before making a slight rotation to both the port and starboard side to ensure everyone gets a good view regardless of where they are standing. While capable of holding the gondola over the side of the ship for unique views, the Quantum Class now only uses that mode for premium for fee rides to save time and increase the hourly capacity. Reservations for the North Star can be made ahead of time through the pre-cruise planner.
