Join us for our Saint Martin / Sint Maarten port day while sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas! Instead of booking a traditional shore excursion, we rented a car and explored the island on our own — from beautiful beaches and local food to planes flying overhead at world-famous Maho Beach. We started our day in Grand Case, one of the best food and beach areas on the French side of the island. We enjoyed breakfast at Rainbow Café, spent time taking in the beach views, and then had lunch at the popular local lolo, Cynthia’s Talk of the Town. After lunch, we headed to Maho Beach to watch the planes fly right over the beach as they landed at Princess Juliana International Airport — one of the most iconic experiences in Sint Maarten! We also visited Topper’s Rhum Distillery and stopped at La Sucrière Bakery before heading back to Icon of the Seas for a fun night onboard. Back on the ship, the entertainment continued with the One Hit Wonders party, You Know It? Sing It!, the hilarious Love and Marriage show, and live band karaoke.
