Creator's Key Takeaways

It was a really pleasant experience. We grabbed ourselves a table with relative ease and went up and had a little browse at the selection, which again was really impressive for me.

The food was superb and the service was excellent. It was a really great experience overall and we weren't in there too long at all because the service was super speedy.

I was certainly impressed. The haggis was actually wrapped in a cabbage leaf. There was piped potato and little bits of swede on the plate as well. It was fantastic.

We have said this on previous vlogs that it's just a great venue. It's just fun. Everybody's having a great time. And tonight was no different.

Creator's Tips & Advice

If you want a quieter New Year's Eve experience, consider the Commodore Club instead of the busier venues.
Arrive early at the buffet after midnight to secure a table, as it gets very busy.

YouTube Video Description

Day 4 of our Cunard Queen Victoria Cruise and we spent New Years Eve at sea instead of being in Amsterdam. We woke up to a very rocky ship and headed to the buffet for breakfast. We then tried to walk the promenade but due to the bad weather it was closed. We enjoyed some hot drinks in the very cold Winter Garden before heading to the Britannia Restaurant for our first lunch experience. We did not have desert as we planned on attending afternoon tea to pick up some sweat treats and sandwiches. It was our second formal night of the cruise, and we dressed for the occasion. Queen Victoria had put on a host of events to celebrate New Years in the different venues across the ship. We had a dining reservation for 5:30 in the Britannia Restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic 5 course meal. The ship was very busy during the evening and we, luckily, found a seat in the Chart Room and stayed there until the it was time to bring in the new year. Queen Victoria and laid out an incredible buffet evening buffet in the Lido Restaurant. We ended our night in the Yacht Club. She features spacious staterooms, many with private balconies, and a range of dining options, including the elegant Britannia Restaurant and the exclusive Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites.
