On day 2 of our Riviera Travel Gastronomy of Switzerland and the Rhine River Cruise we had an excursion to experience some traditional Swiss cuisine. We travelled from Basel to Lucerne and spent the morning exploring the city and visiting the iconic Chapel Bridge. In the afternoon we were travelled to the Stanserhorn. We travelled on the funicular and also the one-of-a-kind Cabrio cable car – an open-air cable car with unbeatable views of the Swiss Alps! At the top of the Stanserhorn, wel dined in a rotating restaurant with 360° panoramic scenery. Back in Basel, we visited the fascinating Border Triangle where three countries meet. In the evening we indulged in another incredible evening meal onboard, and wrap up the day with drinks at a lively beach bar.
