Ovation of the Seas: Juneau Arrival & Departure on May 19th, 2019

On May 19th the Ovation of the Seas made her inaugural visit to Juneau Alaska. Arriving early in the morning the ship was greeted by the Island Princess who was already docked. While entering the harbor a small vessel decided to play chicken with the Ovation of the Seas forcing the captain to blow a warning blast on the ship's horn. When ignored he then proceeded to blast a series of short blows that echoed through the mountains. In addition to the Island Princess the Celebrity Millennium and Grand Princess docked after us filling the remaining berths. The Maasdam was then forced to tender from the bay upon her arrival. After a day of beautiful weather the Island Princess was the first to leave followed by the Celebrity Millennium and then the Ovation of the Seas made a circle around the Maasdam to depart.
