According to P&O Cruises’ Maritime Operations, Technical Director, Ken O’Callaghan, progress is swift and steady. “We’re just over halfway through our statutory drydock and everything is going to schedule. Together with the incredible team at Sembcorp, we have over 500 people working across the ship at any one time to ensure we get Pacific Encounter back to Australia in perfect order, ready for our guests to once again enjoy,” says Ken O’Callaghan. In addition to the installation of the slides and Edge Adventure Park, there are many other enhancements also underway during the ship’s drydock, including a new outdoor movie screen and sound system, satellite dishes for improved Wi-Fi, Automation systems, Stabilisers, Navigation systems & Life Saving Appliance (LSA) upgrades. -- Images: Luke Morrison and.
