Creator's Key Takeaways
It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Malta 100%. It's a bit of a walk down, but I definitely think it's worth it.
We're trying our best to just do stairs and not do the lifts for as long as we can because the amount of eat on these ships is uh a little bit insane.

Join us on Day 2 of our P&O Azura Mediterranean Cruise as we spend one full day exploring the incredible island of Malta — and honestly, we had NO idea it was going to be this good. 🗺️ In this Malta travel vlog: We kick things off with the Malta Heritage Pass (€60 — is it worth it? We break it down) before diving into three of the island's most fascinating sites: ⚰️ St Paul's Catacombs, Rabat — The largest catacomb complex in Malta, dating back to the 3rd century AD. Roman law banned burials inside city walls, which is why this underground maze exists — and Jordan nearly had a full breakdown inside it. We also uncover why there's actually no evidence St Paul was ever buried here. 🏛️ Hagar Qim & Mnajdra Megalithic Temples — These ancient temples are 5,000+ years old — older than Stonehenge and ancient Egypt. Built without tools by a civilisation nobody can identify. The site was used as a solar calendar and aligned perfectly with solstices and equinoxes. Absolutely mind-blowing. 🦛 Ghar Dalam Cave — Malta's prehistoric cave and the so-called "birth site" of Malta. Inside? Fossils of mini elephants, hippos and giant swans that once roamed the island. Also served as a WWII air raid shelter. Genuinely one of the most surprising things we've ever visited. 💡 Malta Travel Tips: ✔️ Use Bolt instead of regular taxis — we saved a lot (spent ~€50 total getting around) ✔️ The Malta Heritage Pass covers multiple sites — but check which exact sites it includes before you go (we got confused at St Paul's!) ✔️ Visit Ghar Dalam early — it fills up fast with tour groups ✔️ Allow a full day — the temples alone are a 20-minute walk each way We wrap the day with the P&O Azura sail-away party on deck (complete with cannon fire 💥), burgers at the poolside bar, and dinner at the Beach House Caribbean restaurant on board — all for £11 each. 📌 If you're planning a Malta cruise port stop or looking for things to do in Malta beyond the obvious, this is your guide. 💬 Have you visited Malta?
