After disembarking, we take the Ålesund tourist train up to a stunning mountain viewpoint, capturing some amazing photos of this colourful coastal town. After the scenic train tour around Ålesund, we explore the town on foot and visit a few favourite spots before returning to P&O Britannia for some relaxation in the hot tub. But the evening took an unexpected turn… Our MDR dinner on P&O Britannia turned out to be the worst dining experience we've ever had at sea and not because of the food or service. The food was actually fantastic, but we were seated in a section so badly designed that it felt like eating in a kitchen. Constant clattering, banging, service stations and noise completely ruined the MDR ambience. Easily our worst P&O cruise dining experience so far! Luckily, the night improved thanks to the brilliant P&O Britannia onboard entertainment, and we still ended the day on a positive note.
