Today is a day we’ll never forget...our first ever fjord sailing experience and it was absolutely magical. We arrive in Nordfjordeid, Norway and spend one of the most breathtaking days of our entire cruise so far. ⛴️ Early Morning Sail-In We set our alarms for 6:00 AM to watch the ship glide through the fjords for the very first time and WOW, it was worth every second. Peaceful, dramatic mountain scenery, mirror-like water… pure magic. 🥐 Buffet Breakfast with a View We head to the Horizon buffet for breakfast and film the full selection so you can see what’s on offer. With the restaurant almost empty, we enjoy sailing views right from our table - perfection! 🏞️ Exploring Nordfjordeid Once ashore, we take a relaxing stroll around the charming town of Nordfjordeid, cute houses, beautiful water views and fresh Norwegian air. The weather was perfect too! 🚡 Loen Skylift - Jaw Dropping Views! Then it’s time for our excursion to the Loen Skylift, one of the steepest cable cars in the world. The views from the top are out of this world… glaciers, mountains and fjords as far as the eye can see. Truly one of the most spectacular trips we have ever done. 🍛 Dinner at Sindhu Back onboard Britannia, we dine at Sindhu, the ship’s speciality Indian fusion restaurant and the food is phenomenal. Easily one of our best meals on board so far! 🎭 Theatre Night To end a perfect day, we head to the theatre for a fantastic live show starring the first ever winner of The Voice UK Leanne Mitchell. Incredible voice and a brilliant performance.
