Creator's Key Takeaways
We were starting to suspect that there was some type of illness on board by now as well because we'd notice an increase in hand sanitizer stations
We then heard a very stern changing voice where he then went on to tell everybody that there was an illness on board and that people needed to take more precautions
When we walked to the restaurant, we then noticed that on the stairs there were sick bags, which we knew weren't to do with the sea state.
Something that a few of us have noticed is that over the last couple of nights, the clubhouse appears to smell of cigarette smoke.

We sailed onboard P&O's Iona for a 7 day Northern Europe cruise in February 2025. On day 6 of our cruise we were in Rotterdam again, so we enjoyed a more relaxed day and discovered that other passengers had started getting sick onboard Iona. P&O's Iona is an excellence class cruise ship, who sailed her maiden voyage on the 7th August 2021. She is the sister ship to Arvia, who is the newest ship in the P&O fleet. She has 18 total decks and is able to carry a maximum of 5,206 passengers. Want to stay up to date with our content?
