P&O Cruises Iona - Norwegian Fjords Tips and Tricks and Port Information

In recent weeks we've had people asking us about our experience of cruising onboard P&Os Iona, and more specifically, doing so in the Norwegian Fjords. We've sailed on Iona 3 times, and have cruised to Norway 4 times, so we hope that in sharing our experience we can help people to make the most of their cruises. Iona’s current itinerary includes visits to Stavanger, Olden, Hellesylt and Haugesund. We visited all of these ports on Iona last summer. We’ve also been to Stavanger and Olden on a few occasions previously, when sailing on P&O’s Britannia and Aurora, and Holland America Line’s Ryndam. P&O's Iona is an excellence class cruise ship, who sailed her maiden voyage on the 7th August 2021. We were lucky enough to be onboard for her 2nd voyage, on 14th August 2021 and have sailed her a total of 3 times now. She has 18 total decks and is able to carry a maximum of 5,206 passengers.
