In December 2022, Steve and I went on an Antarctica cruise onboard Le Boréal of PONANT. In this fifth episode of Antarctica cruise video series, covering day 7 of the cruise, I will show you the best day we've had in Antarctica. After days of gloomy and poor weather, we finally got the blue sky sunny weather that we hoped for. Today, we started with a zodiac cruise at Cierva Cove, followed by the last Continental landing at Portal Point, where we would finally see seals. In between these two activities, I did something unusual. While our cruise by PONANT did not offer a true polar plunge in the sea, they filled the swimming pool with polar ice water instead, and I did a mini "polar plunge" in the swimming pool. The entertainment that evening featured Elin Blom, an ex-Swedish Idol (Idol Sverige ), and member of the girl band Sister Twister. When they found out she was on the cruise, an impromptu concert was arranged. Finally, for the first time on this cruise, we got to experience an Antarctic sunset!
